Gardening Planning Continued

Step 1:

Here we have it - this is the plan for our garden this spring.

As you can see we have 3 beds of 1.20m (basically 6 square foot gardens) and one 0.60m bed - i.e. one more SFG bed.
The 6 big beds we will be using for our small household: 2 Adults, 2 Teens
The thin bed on the end is for Stefan's' Mom who would like a patch for some veg etc for herself.

The isles in-between the beds is 0.60m wide

As this kind of garden is really not known here it is getting interesting reviews so far ;) we will see what everyone thinks about our cool garden when it is there in 3D view :)

Next week, we will be showing you Step 2:

Deciding which plants are going where.

  1. I like the look of this order in the veggi garden. Ours is, well, wild! My father in law is the 'head' gardener here so he always decides what goes where, although I'm not too sure if he ever actually has a plan. But amazingly enough it all comes together in the end!!
He had a nasty accident chopping wood two weeks ago and can't use one of his arms so has decided that this year we will use a 'no- tilling' method. Is this what you plan to do? I have done a little bit of research online and it seems very easy - is there a catch?
Looking forward to seeing how your garden evolves. Do you plant anything in the ground before the St Glace? (or is this just a french tradition).

    1. Hi Emma,
Is St. Glace, the spring frost? Depending on how the seedlings go, we may have to otherwise, I am looking at planting the plants during next week, weather obviously being on my side :)
      Thanks so much for visiting.
